Ring rang at about 6.45 in the evening. The person on the other end asked for me by my first name and kept pestering if I'd wanna join some survey. I told them straight up it was a cold call and that what they were doing might actually be against the new GDPR laws. I never share my details or phone number so no idea where they got that from. I told them to delete my info from their records and not to call again, or else next time I'll be using quite rude words with them.

Got four calls today alone! This is proper harassment. It’s Survation, some polling company claiming they’re working for the Westminster government but actually funded by the Tories... bunch of tw@ts, all of them - Survation, Westminster government, and the Scottish Tories included.

A woman ringed me up asking for me by name saying she was from some polling firm. When I asked where she got my number from, she just started spouting a load of rubbish.

Pretty harmless call. Got a ring on Saturday evening about a political survey. The questions seemed legit and they didn’t ask for any personal details or anything like that.

Got a call at half six on a Saturday evening from a number I didn’t recognise, but I picked up anyway. The bloke was quite nice and said he was doing a survey. He asked stuff about saving energy and fracking, plus which political party I might vote for. The answers were on a scale from 1, meaning not likely at all, to 10, meaning very likely.

They seemed to think that calling it "academic" would make me trust them. I've worked at a uni before, and I know proper academic research always reveals who’s behind it since research ethics demand it. Then they just hung up on me suddenly.
