My dad had a very similar encounter a couple of days ago and then again today. They come across as rather aggressive and definitely not trustworthy, in our opinion.

Today, I received a rather dubious call from this number, with the caller purporting to be from a Windows support centre. They claimed to have knowledge of some issues plaguing my computer. It became rather clear that their aim was to persuade me into downloading an Ammyy file, which would grant them remote access to my machine. Naturally, I wasn’t about to play into their hands, so I feigned interest and asked for their contact number to return the call later - a promise I certainly don’t intend to keep.

This number seems to be a scam. My details are unlisted, so how on earth did they manage to find my name?

I've been receiving constant calls from this number, and when I pressed the caller to confirm they were affiliated with Microsoft, they handed me the number 013151100072 along with an address on Cardinal Street, Victoria Place, London. However, upon investigation, I discovered that it's merely a shopping complex, not an actual office! Clearly, this is a major scam operation.

I received a call at 10 o'clock this morning claiming that my computer had been compromised and was being utilised for nefarious activities. I suggested that I would call back, and was provided with the number 01315100072. They mentioned it belonged to the Windows office in London. Quite alarming, really!
