This time they said they were from Compare UK and teamed up with insurance firms like Aviva, Legal & General, and said they were doing a review to potentially save me some money. I just had to answer their questions and then I'd talk to a financial advisor. When I asked who exactly they were and said I wasn’t comfortable sharing personal details with strangers, the caller got defensive and asked why they would lie to me, so I ended the call. Definitely sounds like a scam - steer clear of them!

Phone 0131 507 0886: Got a call on my mobile from this number, picked up and told the woman on the line to take me off their list since I never signed up. She then spent nearly ten minutes arguing with me and was quite rude, implying I didn’t get how the opt-in process worked. She wouldn’t take me off the list, and when I requested to talk to her supervisor, she flat out refused. If they want to be seen as a proper company, they’re doing a terrible job of it.

Received a call from a company called Review My Cover. I wasn’t particularly fond of the way the woman on the other end responded when I pushed back a bit. I made it clear that I had no interest and hadn’t signed up for anything with them. She attempted to counter my objections, but I ended up hanging up on her. They asked how old I was and when I said 87, they said that's too old for insurance but then complimented me on sounding younger.
