They somehow already knew my name and that i’m with Scottish Power, then asked why i hadn’t accepted a smart meter. I told them i rent my place, and next thing he says he has to note down that i’m refusing it, and asks for my date of birth and where i live. I was like, hang on a minute, and then the call just ended... seemed really dodgy to me!

Got a call from someone called Lorraine claiming to be from Scottish Power, saying they needed to set up an urgent appointment for a smart meter installation. She then asked me to confirm my house number and postcode. I told her if she already has my name and number, she’d know that info anyway.
