Somebody rang me up saying they were from IPSOS, doing a survey about air pollution for Birmingham City Council. When I wouldn’t give out my postcode, the person just hung up on me quite suddenly. Not sure if it’s genuine or not, but it felt a bit fishy to me.

Got a call today from a number with a Scottish area code, so I picked up as I’m based in Scotland. I’m signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, so was immediately suspicious. The caller said they were from a place called ‘Northcote’ but wouldn’t clearly say what they do. When I asked, they mentioned something about car claims. I questioned them further and they just cut the call off. Whoever ‘Dan’ is who rang me, you should be ashamed, as well as the firm you’re working for. Watch out if you get a call from this number.

I've had this number ring me repeatedly claiming to be from Virgin Media, but when I questioned them they just cut off every single time. These scammers really cause nothing but hassle and it's about time we cracked down on them properly. The number they keep using, if it’s genuine at all, is 07377479858. Tried calling it back myself but it said it's not accepting calls. Spread the word and just block the number straight away!

On 14th May 2021, at about 4:09 pm, I got a call with no sound. Once I told them I was recording the call, it just got cut off straight away.

When I rang back, an automated voice told me it was Digital Solution Marketing Company doing some marketing calls. Proper pests!

Just like the other times, it was an energy scam trying to ring me from Edinburgh, which seemed a bit dodgy. The whole thing sounded like a pre-recorded message, so I got suspicious straight away. When they started asking me to answer about 10 questions, I just ended the call. My number’s ex-directory and on the TPS list, so there’s no way it’s a legit UK phone. Most likely it’s from overseas.

Got a call on my mobile today, but I didn't bother to answer as my voicemail tends to filter out unwanted calls. The caller hung up and didn't leave a message.
