Got a call today from a number with a Scottish area code, so I picked up as I’m based in Scotland. I’m signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, so was immediately suspicious. The caller said they were from a place called ‘Northcote’ but wouldn’t clearly say what they do. When I asked, they mentioned something about car claims. I questioned them further and they just cut the call off. Whoever ‘Dan’ is who rang me, you should be ashamed, as well as the firm you’re working for. Watch out if you get a call from this number.

I’ve no clue who's ringing me; the only folks that usually have my number are those I've shared it with, and to be honest, this particular number isn’t something I’ve shared with anyone!

I've had this number ring me repeatedly claiming to be from Virgin Media, but when I questioned them they just cut off every single time. These scammers really cause nothing but hassle and it's about time we cracked down on them properly. The number they keep using, if it’s genuine at all, is 07377479858. Tried calling it back myself but it said it's not accepting calls. Spread the word and just block the number straight away!

I got a call from a bloke with a robotic voice asking if I wanted to hear about some new government energy saving plan that could supposedly save me loads of money. He said he’d ask me a bunch of questions and I could just use my keypad to reply. Nope, not falling for that one. Never give out your personal stuff to people you don’t know. If you wanna see if you qualify for any kind of benefit, always use the official government websites. Keep your info safe and don’t get caught up in these dodgy scams!

I received a rather peculiar silent call on the 14th of May, 2021, precisely at 16:09. The moment I mentioned that I was recording the conversation, the caller abruptly disconnected. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Over the past few weeks, I got a few calls, like three I think, from a recorded message claiming to be from the government. They were talking about some energy savings programme offering grants for things like insulation and new boilers. Apparently, you had to answer a set of ten questions to be eligible. I’ve got my name on the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) list, which means I shouldn’t be getting any of those pesky marketing calls. However, a recent one managed to slip through the cracks and even left a voicemail. It started off with some spiel about the government doling out energy-saving funds, followed by an invitation to answer a series of ten questions. The first query was if I own my home - if so, I was instructed to hit 1. Curiosity got the better of me, so I rang the number back, only to be greeted by an automated voice informing me it was the Digital Solution Marketing Company, reaching out for promotional reasons. What a nuisance!

Got a call on my mobile today, but I didn't bother to answer as my voicemail tends to filter out unwanted calls. The caller hung up and didn't leave a message. I can relate to what others have said; this number series is linked to an Irish firm, which seems odd when you would normally think it was a number from Edinburgh.
