Got a call with an automated woman’s voice telling me my Amazon Prime subscription was renewed for £39.99 and if I want to chat to an Amazon rep, to press 1. Problem is I’ve never signed up to Prime, and they don’t even have this landline on file! I reckon they’ll ring from another number next time, so blocking seems a bit pointless really.

some robotic bloke on the phone was going on about my amazon account or something, i just hung up cause that’s daft i don’t even use amazon! total nuisance!

Got a call claiming I had a £39.99 monthly Amazon subscription that’d be taken out like always. They said if I wanted to cancel, I should press 1 and talk to someone. The approach was a bit different but still clearly a scam - I don’t even have an Amazon Prime account!
