Somebody called up saying they could sort me out with a cheaper bundle for my phone and broadband, but it sounded like a total boiler room scam from the start.

Got a call out of the blue about some timeshare offer. Pretty sure it was just another sales pitch trying to get me interested.

No answer... Most likely some scammer from India again.

I got a call from a woman with a foreign accent saying my appliance maintenance fees would be cheaper now. She then asked what brand my TV was. I just made up a name, "Kinetic", which seemed to please her. After that, she passed me onto a bloke with an accent named Kevin, who said "Kinetic" sounded like a great brand. He tried to get me to verify my age but seemed confused by what "confirm" meant. I quickly realised it was a scam call and ended the chat.

Got a call from a woman with an accent saying my appliance service fees would be lowered. She asked me what brand my telly was, so I just made up something like "Kinetic" to keep her quiet. Then she put me through to some bloke named Kevin with a funny accent who said “Kinetic” was a decent brand. After that, he asked for my age but seemed clueless about what “confirm” meant. I soon realised it was a total scam and just gave up and ended the call.

I got a call from a woman with a foreign accent claiming they’d lower the maintenance fees on my appliance. She asked what brand my TV was, so I just said “Kinetic” on the spot, which seemed to please her. Then she passed me over to a bloke named Kevin, who also sounded foreign. He said “Kinetic” was a solid brand and then tried to get my age confirmed, but couldn’t even explain what he meant by ‘confirmed’. I realised it was a total con and ended the call there and then.

I received a call from a lady with a rather unfamiliar accent inquiring about service fees related to my appliance. She wanted to know what kind of television I owned, but I decided to fabricate a name to see how she'd respond. It didn't faze her much, and soon enough, I was handed off to a chap named Kevin. His accent was similar, and he requested my age for verification purposes. I turned the tables and asked him to provide that information first, after which I'd confirm mine. The conversation persisted in this rather tedious manner until, in the end, I decided it was best to end the call when he continued dodging my queries.

Got a call from a woman speaking with a foreign accent, claiming to be from some sort of appliance repair service for home stuff. She passed me over to a bloke called Ricky. I started getting suspicious cause the price for fixing my appliances seemed way too cheap. They said they’d email me all the info too. The company was supposedly named Reliable Appliance Repair based in London. Sounded legit but yeah, definitely a scam.

Got a call from an Indian woman who claimed she had brilliant news about my appliance and TV protection plan. She was going on about lowering my monthly payment to £6.99. I told her my TV’s quite new and I don’t have any cover, so how could she be cutting any costs? She insisted I did have cover but I kept saying no. I made it clear I wasn’t interested in signing up for any plans over the phone. Definitely just trying to get bank info - total scam.

Got a call on 01313820302, some bloke claiming to be Robert Smith, saying he needed to talk about fixing the TV at my mum’s place. Then he went on asking her age and if she had a bank account. Luckily, my dad told her to put the phone down right away, and when “Robert” asked if it was her husband, he just hung up straight away. Definitely a scam!
