I got a phone call earlier, but as soon as I picked up, it turned out to be nothing more than a pre-recorded message. Quite frustrating, really!

They rang me up, claiming to be representatives from some Debt Investigation Agency concerning a government debt initiative. They also brought up a programme for debt reduction. However, the moment I informed them I wasn’t in any financial trouble, they abruptly ended the call. Quite peculiar, to say the least!

I didn’t pick up and there was no message on my voicemail. I only know one person in Edinburgh and this couldn't have been them for sure. I've blocked the number now.

I got a call from this number but no one said a word, just silence before they abruptly ended the call. Pretty sure it’s just another spammer.

i usually just block calls from unknown numbers, seems like a waste of time or sometimes could be risky. if they dont bother to leave a voicemail, i figure it's suspicious.

I never pick up numbers I don’t recognise, I just check who’s called me. 99% of the time, it’s some sort of scam. If everyone just ignored these calls, they wouldn’t bother anymore. Honestly, they need to sort themselves out and find a real job instead of wasting everyone’s time.

Cheers to the kind soul who answered the phone! You’ve genuinely spared me from having to pick it up myself. Just to clarify, I’m not in any sort of debt!

Received a call earlier where the person on the other end asked if I was me by name, first and last. They claimed to be informed about some debt I'm apparently settling. I mentioned that I don’t remember having any such debt, and then they abruptly disconnected the call. It all felt rather dodgy, but I didn’t have a chance to poke around for more details.

I received a phone call from someone who mentioned my name and asserted they were running a debt relief scheme. They inquired whether I had any outstanding debts. I told them I didn't and promptly ended the call. Honestly, I haven't got the time to entertain these con artists.
