Got a call from a guy who sounded Asian, and weirdly he knew my full name and where I live. He claimed he wasn’t trying to sell me anything though. The call came from UK Choice, which made it all the more strange!

Pretty sure it was a scam. They called saying they needed to verify my address and name, but I didn’t recognise the company at all. They said it was something called Nations Choice and promised only three quick questions before ending the call. Felt fishy, so I just ended the call without replying.

However, they wanted to verify my identity by asking for the expiration date of a card I allegedly used for direct debit payments. It struck me as rather dodgy, so I told them it seemed very much like a scam and hung up immediately.
