I got a call from a bloke who just assumed I was tied into a BT deal. When I tried to end the call, he passed me onto his 'manager'. Something felt off, so I didn’t reckon he was genuine. The guy then rattled off my address and threatened to send someone round with a pit bull to sort me out. Proper dodgy.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with BT saying my contract was about to end. The bloke said his name was Jimmy and he was from Edinburgh, but he had a strong Indian accent. Then he started asking for details and names from my workplace. Definitely sounded like a scam or phishing attempt to me.

I got a call from someone asking about my broadband details, but I don’t even have internet at home. So confusing! 🙄

They called pretending to be from BT, obviously having grabbed the business name and contact details straight off my website. They tried telling me my 'BT broadband/phone line' contract had run out. Thing is, the number they rang was a business VOIP one, no broadband involved and not even linked to BT at all. They sounded convincing and kept ringing over and over. Eventually, I took the calls just to hear them out, but hung up right away. No doubt about it, this was a total scam or fraud attempt!
