I didn’t pick up, but my phone company flagged the number as spam before it even rang.

I answered a call from a number I didn't recognise, but all I got was this robotic voice that just said "bye" and then they hung up right away.

Received a call that purported to be from Vodafone, claiming they had some fantastic offers on reduced rates. They inquired about how much I currently fork out for my “plan.” It was obviously a dodgy scheme.

Let’s all take a stand against the tide of scam calls and messages by doing our bit: REPORT them! If you stumble upon dodgy emails or screenshots of vile messages, don’t hesitate to shoot them over to '[email protected]'. As for those nasty texts, make sure to send them along to '7726'. Be mindful that clicking on dubious links can easily invite malware to your device. Just text CALL to '7726' with all the details about those scammy calls, including the number you received the call from. This will set off a warning across your provider’s network regarding that suspect number. Don’t forget to raise the issue with your MP about these persistent scams! If you’ve inadvertently shared your bank details with these fraudsters, contact your bank without delay. Then, report the incident to 'action fraud', followed by '7726', and don’t shy away from sharing your experience on this platform. Twilio Ireland Limited, eh? Who’s behind the sale of this phone number then? It appears they’re notorious for offloading numbers primarily to fraudsters aiming to con unsuspecting individuals. They’re in the business of distributing both landline and mobile numbers, frequently providing an array of active digits for unscrupulous calling. So, if you find yourself receiving a call from a number associated with a VoIP provider, it’s quite possible that you’ve made it onto one of those dodgy lists.

It's alarming to think they've already swindled countless individuals out of hundreds of thousands of pounds just recently. Received two calls from this number today. Generally speaking, I tend to treat unknown calls as potential scams. I wouldn’t advise answering or returning their calls. If it’s a genuine caller, they’ll likely drop a voicemail. Don’t forget, for any dodgy texts, you can report them to 7726.

Received a call purporting to be from Amazon, asserting they were verifying an order for an iPhone that I certainly did not place.

It’s quite evident this is a scam! They try to lure you in with a supposed discount on “your existing contract,” and that’s when they’ll ask for your personal information and payment details. Best to just hang up and directly contact your service provider using their official number. Make sure to use another phone, as these tricksters often remain on the line after you end the call. They'll listen in as you call your provider and may try to impersonate them. Best to be cautious!

I've promptly put a stop to any communication from this number.

Exercise caution, as these individuals are attempting to lure you into divulging your personal details. They're deceptive and up to no good.

I recently encountered an all too familiar con regarding a supposed 30% discount on my O2 bill for life. They start by claiming they're transferring me to a supervisor, but it’s just another operator sitting a few feet away in their dodgy call centre in Mumbai. Then, out of the blue, they ask you for a six-digit code that’ll arrive via text from O2, supposedly to verify my account access. I couldn’t help but point out, “Hang on a minute, the text clearly states not to share this information with anyone, including O2 staff!” To which the scam artist replies, “Ah, but that’s perfectly alright, you only need to provide it to me this one time.” If you foolishly comply, brace yourself-next thing you know, they’ll be using that code to purchase a pricey phone, shipped to some mysterious PO box, leaving you to deal with the fallout.

I received a call that seemed to originate from India or Pakistan over the internet, and it was undoubtedly a banking scam. I strongly recommend blocking the number and reporting it. Don't forget to text the details to 7726 as well!

There’s no legitimate company behind them, regardless of the name they throw around. If we all simply disregard these calls, they’ll be thwarted in their attempts to siphon off our money. They’re obscuring their true identity for no valid reason at all. Also, if the number kicks off with +44, it’s unlikely to be a genuine landline; chances are it’s a computer-generated nuisance. Make sure to report these fraudsters via phishing.gov.uk, or text 'dall' to 7726. Stay safe!

What a complete and utter sham! They contacted me claiming to have secured compensation of £2,550 plus an extra £1,550 in interest from my bank regarding PPI. When I inquired about which bank they were referring to, I cheekily mentioned a fictitious "Bank of Paris"-and you won't believe it, they were none the wiser! They proceeded to hand me a reference number and an ID, insisting they never request any bank or card details, yet mentioned some mysterious 'wallet' where the funds were supposedly held. Then, they transferred me to someone else-another chap who had a thick accent. He requested the ID and reference numbers I'd just received. I purposely gave him the incorrect ones, which threw him off. In his confusion, he then asked for my phone number to "verify" the details. He reeled off yet more ID and reference numbers that didn’t match the first set at all. To top it all off, this individual started suggesting I wasn’t very technologically inclined and offered to "assist" me in accessing this so-called wallet. Strange, right? He wanted me to put my phone on loudspeaker and download an app called Anydesk from the Play Store. I quickly put two and two together-that app would allow him remote access to my phone to pilfer my bank info, identity, passwords, you name it! These lowlifes need to be caught red-handed! I urge anyone affected to report this nonsense to the police and the Financial Conduct Authority immediately.

Here we go again with those pesky callers! I recommend you don't engage with them. Just shoot a text saying "call" to 7726, and they should sort the nuisance out by deactivating the number.

I recently received a call from this number. When I picked up, there was nothing but silence on the other end, and they eventually hung up. Out of curiosity, I decided to ring back, as it originated from Edinburgh. A recorded voice came on, offering me various options. I opted for number nine to ensure they wouldn’t bother me again. I've since blocked and erased the number from my contacts. Good riddance!

FRAUD ALERT! Received a call claiming to be from O2, offering a whopping 70% off along with a shiny new phone. I informed them that I’ve switched to GiffGaff and am absolutely chuffed with it! 😊 To my surprise, five hours later, I got another call from someone pretending to be GiffGaff, also with a 70% discount. 😂 I told them to take a hike!

This number has been incessantly calling both our home phone and mobiles. I’ve gone ahead and blocked them. No doubt about it, it’s a scam!
