Here we go once more! It’s Monday morning and those scammers are back on the case. The 01313 numbers, also 01414 and 01416, are all dodgy calls linked to insulation or energy companies. If you’ve got caller ID, my advice is don’t pick up. I’ve blocked loads of them already, but it looks like they’ve got an endless stash of these prefixes.

Received a rather intrusive phone call earlier regarding loft insulation. The caller claimed my loft required an inspection and was apparently in dire need of an upgrade. Quite annoying, if you ask me!

I got a call from this number but I’ve already got it blocked since the area code came up in a bunch of dodgy calls. I’ve blocked loads of codes like 0197, 0141, 0204, 0131, 0121, 0186, 0161, 0207, 0113, and 0114 cos they keep ringing with numbers I don’t want to hear from.

I usually just let the phone ring through to voicemail if I don’t know the number showing on my caller ID. Nearly always, if it’s a scam, they hang up without leaving a message. If it’s someone genuine, they tend to leave a voicemail anyway. Blocking numbers seems pointless to me, like others have said, because these con artists just keep swapping to different ones.

I didn’t pick up since I didn’t recognise the number and I was tied up looking after a disabled family member, so I’m thinking it’s probably a scam. It’s mad how these annoying calls won’t stop. The TPS clearly doesn’t do much anymore as they just keep ringing more often. Surely the authorities need to step in and put an end to this soon!
