Got a call today from some centre, they were going on about issues with my internet. Classic scam, nothing new really.

I picked up and said hello, and as soon as I said it was me, the person said they were called John and then just dropped the call.

A person called saying they were with BT and claimed there was an issue with my internet. They couldn't even tell where I lived or what plan I was on. I ended up messing about a bit with them, and out of the blue they just dropped the call. Just yet another irritating spam ring, really.

The call definitely sounded like it was from a call centre, with all the background noise and that awkward pause before they started talking. The guy said he was with BT Openreach and had something to say about my phone line. I told him I’m not a BT customer and just ended the call.
