Got a call from someone claiming to be EE, but their English was really off. Since I’m actually with EE, I asked for the name on my account and my contact number to check, but as soon as I did, they just hung up on me! Definitely a spam call - blocked their number straight away!

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, sounded like an Indian accent and was trying to sell me a "great deal" with a discount. Told them I was fine with my current plan and they just cut the call. I've blocked the number and reported it since it felt dodgy.

Somebody rang me saying they were from O2 and that I could get 40% off due to some problems with the network. They then wanted me to verify some personal info to make sure the discount went on the right account. I didn’t hand over any details, so I’m not sure if it was legit or a scam, but it definitely felt a bit dodgy to me.

They said they were from O2, but I didn’t really go past asking who it was. Just thought I’d give a heads up and be careful with calls like that.

This bloke said he was from Sky and was giving me a 40% cut on my bill for Christmas. Then he went on asking what kind of phone I had but if he was really with Sky Mobile wouldn't he already know since the phone's from them? When I started throwing questions back at him, he got all weird and then just hung up on me.

Got a call from some bloke rambling on about cutting my house insurance costs - pretty sure it was just a scam trying to get my details.

Got a call from someone saying they were with O2, trying to sell me a 40% discount. When I asked for proof, they gave me a dodgy Extension ID and Department Number. I told them I wasn’t comfortable sharing my personal details without verifying who they really were, and they got a bit annoyed at that. Later, I checked with O2 through the My O2 app, and they confirmed it was definitely a scam. They explained there’s no such discount being offered to customers. Apparently, scammers are ringing O2 customers with fake deals like discounted line rental, reduced-price phones, and free gadgets like smart watches. These fraudsters claim to be from or working with O2, enticing people with these offers. Some even ask for personal info to apply for new contracts or upgrades, including bank details. Others hack into accounts by tricking people into giving login info and one-time codes, then place orders for unwanted devices to get sent to the victim’s address. O2 made it clear they’ll never ask for passwords, PINs, bank info, or one-time passcodes over the phone. Definitely watch out for these calls!
