01313811871 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 01313811871 👆 is reported as a persistent source of scam and nuisance calls, often impersonating major UK mobile networks like EE, O2, Three, and Vodafone to offer fake discounts or deals. Callers frequently hang up when challenged or asked for personal information, sometimes using voice over IP technology and displaying foreign accents, notably South Asian. Many recipients report no voicemail left, abrupt hang-ups, and aggressive or dismissive behaviour when confronted. The calls appear to target individuals indiscriminately, with some scammers showing knowledge of the recipient’s name, suggesting possible data misuse. It is widely advised not to engage, to block the number, and to report these incidents to relevant authorities such as Ofcom or network providers, as genuine companies do not operate in this manner.

Seems I’ve been targeted by a fraudster! They rang me up, purporting to be from EE, and promised a tantalising 35% discount on my existing plan. But as soon as I confronted them about their dubious antics, they swiftly ended the call. Typical!

I received a call on my mobile, but they hung up before I even had a chance to pull it from my pocket. I came across some information on a different phone checking site that mentioned this particular number is using VOIP technology. It seems like once full fibre becomes widely available, we might all end up using Voice Over Internet Protocol for our calls - assuming, of course, that anyone decides to hang onto a traditional landline anymore?

This bloke claimed he was calling from Three. When I called him out and said he was trying to scam me, he just snapped back, “Yeah, I’m a scammer, piss off,” and then cut me off. Proper dodgy.

I received a call claiming to be from 3 Mobile, but when I asked for some specific information about my account, they couldn’t provide any. I told them to quit their dodgy tactics and find legitimate work, and their response was rather rude, telling me to get lost. What a ridiculous situation!

Received a call from 0131 381 1831 earlier today. The number was unfamiliar, so I opted to ignore it. I can't help but think it might be a scam, so I jumped onto the web to see if anyone else has had the same ordeal. Turns out, plenty of folks have been through this as well. Astonishing!

I received a missed call from 0131 381 1871, but I opted not to pick up. There was no voicemail that followed, which is quite peculiar. I'll be sure to notify the proper channels about this number.

I received a call today from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from Three Mobile, touting some rather enticing discount offers on iPhones. I've encountered these sorts of callers previously, and I'm convinced it's just a con, especially when they request a deposit to move forward. Not long ago, I reported a similar incident to Three Mobile, since they're my network provider, but they seemed rather indifferent and didn't take my details or show any interest in investigating further. I can't help but think they're well aware that this kind of scam is quite prevalent.

Earlier today, while I was at school, my phone rang and I noticed it was an unfamiliar number. I didn’t pick up or reject the call, so I haven't got a clue who it was. However, I suspect it might have been a scam, seeing as they didn’t bother to ring back after that initial attempt.

I received a call from someone claiming to be with ’3’. However, when I asked them about my account, they couldn't provide any details. I've noticed that others have mentioned they were told the caller was from a different mobile company entirely. It doesn't add up; it can't possibly be genuine. I suspect it's a scam of some sort.

When I picked up, all I could hear was a dial tone, like I was the one calling. I just ended the call straight away since I couldn't think why anyone all the way from Edinburgh would ring me. Probably just a telemarketer or some sort of scam, so I didn’t bother.

I got a call from this number and it was a total scam. The lady on the other end couldn’t say my name right and kept mumbling so I couldn’t understand her properly. Somebody rang saying they were with Three Mobile and wanted to give me a discount for paying my bill early. Thing is, I’m actually with ID Mobile, which apparently piggybacks on Three’s network... so it was a bit suspicious. The moment I mentioned I was with ID Mobile, the person was quite polite but cut the call straight away. Bit strange if you ask me.

On the afternoon of 11th Jan 2024, I received a call on my mobile from 01313811871. The number showed it was coming from Edinburgh. A lady with an African accent greeted me and mentioned my name right away, saying it was regarding my O2 service. Since I’m not an O2 customer, I told her that’s not my provider. She just said “Alright” and ended the call. It was obviously a scam, but what’s unsettling is that she already knew my name linked to my number. It makes me think someone’s sharing personal info like names and numbers with these scammers.

The call ended just as I was about to pick up, so I figured it was probably a spam call and went ahead and blocked the number. Cheers for pointing out that this number isn’t legit.
