Just got a call a little while back from someone saying they were Vodafone. When I asked them to tell me my name, they suddenly ended the call. Honestly, I thought my phone company would already have that info. Looks like a scam to me - best to block and forget about it.

They actually had the nerve to call me again just to find out why I ended the call.

My phone showed a missed call from 0131 381 3122, rang for nearly a minute, but i just ignored it. Then roughly two hours later, 0131 381 1310 called and stayed on the line close to a minute too. I reckon these are spam calls, as my number hasn’t had any calls in like a year and a half since its only used for urgent family stuff.

I answered the phone and all I got was a robotic voice saying “bye”.. gave me a weird feeling.

Got a call from +44 131 381 1310, said it was Curry’s PC World, trying to push a phone on me. Pretty sure it was just a sales pitch.

My phone instantly flagged it as spam and gave me the option to block the caller, so I went ahead and did just that.

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, saying they could help me cut costs on a contract I never even signed up for. Quite dodgy if you ask me.

The phone was still ringing when I found myself on this site. Since I don’t know anyone in Edinburgh, the reviews here made me decide it wasn’t worth picking up. So I just let it ring out.

Someone called claiming to be from O2, but the moment I told them I wasn’t with O2, they just ended the call straight away. I’m pretty sure O2 wouldn’t be so rude. Definitely looks like a scam to me!

The number that showed up was +441313811310. The caller had a foreign accent and claimed they needed to refund me for overpaying internet security. They asked for my credit card info, saying the card they had was outdated and required updating. They were really pushy about it. Although they said they had my personal details, they couldn’t provide any to prove who they were. I just ended the call.

Got a voicemail alert sayin' there was a message from 22201, lasted about 4 seconds. It told me to call back that number to listen, but at standard call charges. A mate of mine, who’s with a different provider, got the exact same SMS but it came off their landline supposedly. It said a message was missed and to ring 22201 to get it. Foolishly, he dialled it from his mobile, only to hear he didn’t have enough credit - turns out it’s a premium rate line. Luckily, I was already a bit iffy about it and didn’t end up getting ripped off.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent, seemed really far away so I doubt they were in the UK. They claimed it was to offer a Vodafone contract upgrade with some kind of discount. Thing is, I’m not even a Vodafone customer! They just dropped the call after that.
