3 yearsThese incessant pests just won't quit calling!3 yearsI received a call from someone who had an Indian accent, claiming to represent O2. They attempted to fish for my account details. Clearly, it was just a scam!3 yearsA caller claimed to be from my mobile service provider, mentioning there was a special discount available. They asked for my email address, which I provided, but then they mentioned sending me a link to click on. I chose to ignore that. Quite suspicious if you ask me!3 yearsRequested details regarding credit card information.3 yearsReceived a phone call from Edinburgh, sounded distinctly American, inquiring about a discount on my O2 contract. Seems a bit dodgy if you ask me!Edinburgh3 yearsI reached out to the number but was greeted by an automated message thanking me for contacting ATLC. Honestly, I've got no clue who they might be, so I've decided to block the number.ATLC3 yearsAbsolutely dodgy! They claimed to represent a phone provider I’ve never even heard of. Just rang without saying a word-no greeting whatsoever. Clearly not for me.3 yearsI didn’t recognise the number that was calling, so I chose not to pick up. It likely followed the same trend as mentioned before.3 yearsReceived a call from someone claiming to be with O2, touting a lovely 30% discount. They asked for the email linked to my account, and I cleverly concocted a random one. They didn’t bat an eyelid. The caller stated they would send an email containing a security code and insisted that I click the link while we were on the line. I mentioned I was driving and couldn’t do it at that moment, to which they offered to ring back later. I can’t shake the feeling that it was a ruse to gain access to my account using the bogus email I provided, needing the security code to reset my password. Once accessed, they might either pose as O2 to worm out my banking details or engage in some other dodgy dealings. Either way, I’m certain it wasn’t the real O2. I kept the caller chatting long enough to possibly save a few unsuspecting souls from being caught in their scam today.Submit Your Own Report (0131 381 0438)
