Random bloke from overseas was on the phone, trying to convince me to get involved in online trading.

a woman with an american accent rang me claiming she worked for a marketing firm. she said i had previously shown some interest in bitcoin or trading stuff. i told her my number’s private but she insisted i must’ve registered or agreed to be contacted. i just hung up on her and blocked the number straight away. you could tell it was from a busy call centre with lots of background noise.

Got a call from an unfamiliar number with a Helmsley, Yorkshire area code. Since I have no contacts there, I ignored it. They never left any voicemail either.

Got a call from some random number in Edinburgh, but they didn’t leave any voicemail or anything.

Got a call from a number that said it was from Edinburgh. I just ignored it because I didn’t recognise it, and there was no voicemail left either. So, I’ve just gone ahead and blocked the number without a second thought!

I’ve never shown any interest in crypto or anything like that, but this person insisted I signed up for it. Funny thing is, I could actually hear other scam calls happening in the background while they were talking to me. Quite dodgy if you ask me!

They were quite impolite and wouldn’t remove me from their calling list no matter how hard I asked.
