I got a call from someone saying they were a health worker in my vicinity, trying to sell me a medical alert device with a weekly charge. They began asking me a bunch of questions. Since my number is on the TPS, this call was against the rules, so I ended it straight away.

This number called me the other day, and a guy with a proper English accent asked if I could hear him clearly. I foolishly said 'yes' - I know now that's a bad move because it might be used against you for contracts or something. Anyway, he didn’t say anything after that, so I just hung up. Then I rang 1471 and went through the steps to remove my number from their calling list. Hopefully, I won’t get any more calls from them! Fingers crossed.

A gentleman with a clear voice called and asked if I was able to hear him properly. I replied that I could but right after, the call just went quiet. Maybe he was waiting for me to say ‘yes’ instead of just confirming? Strange!

Got a call from a man with an English accent who just asked if anyone was there. I said hello, but he didn't respond after that so I ended the call after about 55 seconds. There were some noises in the background so I don't think it was a pocket dial or anything. Really wish there was a simple way to block these landline calls!

I got a call from Sam who kept saying I qualified for a free alarm because I'm supposedly over 70 and have health issues. I asked him two times where he got that info from, but he wouldn't say. In the end, I told him he was a scammer since I'm not over 70 and I'm perfectly healthy.

I waited ages on the phone before the person finally said they were from some NHS division, calling folks in ‘my region’. When I pressed him on what exactly ‘my region’ meant, he started hesitating and stumbling over his words, then suddenly the call just dropped. I ended it there and made sure to block the number.
