Received a call from a number in Edinburgh, and I could barely understand due to their heavy Indian accent. They seemed to know my name, phone number, and address, which was a bit unsettling. They described themselves as part of a company called “UK Nation,” claiming their operations were based in East Asia. Oddly enough, they started probing about whether I drove, my preferred make of washing machine, and whether I’d had the vaccine, all while insisting it wasn’t a sales pitch or a survey. Eventually, they seemed to lose patience with me and shouted, “Oh my god!” Unfortunately, they didn’t stick around to elaborate on their dubious intentions. Quite the amusing encounter, really! 😂
