I really doubt these calls are actually coming from a real Edinburgh number. If they are, then they’re definitely using some kind of program to fake the caller ID. Seriously, something needs to be done to block this sort of tech. Phone companies and the government have got to step up and tackle all these scams once and for all.

Last night around 10:30, I got a call from someone using an 013 number, but they were all over the place, barely making sense. Then, earlier today, I had a weird call from an Indian lady asking to talk to my deceased mum. I wasn’t having any of it and told her to buzz off. Strange times!

Received a call from a number that appeared to be from Edinburgh, but the voice was unmistakably Indian. They insisted it was regarding a 'loft insulation assessment,' which is quite amusing considering I don't even possess a loft! They were adamant that this was above board, yet upon a bit of online digging, I discovered that this is widely acknowledged as a scam that's been reported across the UK. It seems the whole purpose is to gain entry to people's homes. I've explicitly asked them not to contact me again-let's hope that does the trick!

I received a phone call from someone who referred to me by my maiden name. She mentioned her name but failed to disclose the company's name she represented. When I inquired how she obtained my number, she completely brushed off my question and started asking if I had any fibreglass in my attic. I requested to have my details removed from their records, but she didn’t acknowledge my request and carried on speaking. I repeated my plea for her to remove me, only for her to cut the call abruptly. Quite the peculiar experience, to say the least!
