They usually start off with the standard line about needing a moment of my time, to which I firmly respond, "No, what is it you want?" At that point, they typically hang up in a hurry. My straightforward and no-nonsense method seems to annoy them. These pests are truly a bother, and I firmly believe that such nuisance calls ought to be abolished without delay!
