Got a call from someone claiming to be with EE, said they had a discount on my plan. When I asked what info they needed and how much I pay, I said they should already have my details if they’re really from EE. They just ignored me and then just cut the call. Absolutely a scam, don’t trust it!

Somebody with a really thick foreign accent called claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse, which I’ve never even shopped at. When I asked where they had got my number from, they said it was in their database. I told them to take my number off immediately because these cold calls are illegal here. They said alright but stayed on the line, so I ended up hanging up myself. I’m putting this down as dodgy - they’re definitely not being honest about who they are.

I don’t recognise the number and since I’ve no one in Edinburgh I just let it ring out. Surely if it was something urgent, they’d have left a voicemail. This season’s the worst for dodgy calls, especially around Christmas time.
