My dad got a call about someone trying to get access to his computer. He told them he didn’t have one. The person on the phone was really pushy, which was awful for my dad, especially since he’s 85 and quite vulnerable. They even rang back two more times and it made him quite distressed.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft warning me about weird stuff happening on my PC. I kept them hanging on for ages, and they got more irritated as we chatted. Then I told them my computer actually flashed a message saying “beware the scammer calling you right now.” They totally lost it and shouted something like, “Just wait 30 minutes, I’ll show you who’s the real scammer!” 😂

Some bloke claiming to be from Microsoft called me about dodgy stuff happening on my PC. I played along for a good while, and I could tell he was getting more and more annoyed, shouting at me to stop just saying “OK” because it was “serious”. I get a proper kick out of winding these scammers up. Eventually, I told him my screen had a message saying “beware of the scammer on the other line.” He lost his rag completely and started rambling about how in half an hour he’d prove what kind of scammer he was 😂

Somebody rang me claiming to be from Windows tech help. I told them I don’t even own a computer, but they just called me untruthful and threatened to block my computer. Since I just use my phone for the internet, I told them to go ahead and block it then!

Got a call claiming to be from Microsoft. I ended the call straight away but they rang me again wanting to know why I’d ended it. I hung up a second time but they kept ringing. Told them to stop calling and then they started threatening to block my computer. I just said “be my guest” and hung up, then blocked the number. Definitely a scam. I only picked up because I was helping my elderly folks. They're clearly targeting the most vulnerable people.

Some woman rang me pretending she was ringing about my laptop or something. I told her no thanks and ended the call. Then she phoned back asking why I’d cut off. I just replied that I was tied up and didn’t want a chat, then hung up again. They kept trying, called me around eight times more, but I just ignored the calls till they gave in and stopped.

Got a call from this number twice, once at 11:54 and then again at 11:56 in the morning. Picked up the first time and a lady with a thick accent was saying something about an issue with my computer. I told her I don’t own one and told her to stop wasting my time. Then she rang me back a couple of minutes later but I ignored it and let it go to voicemail. Surprise, no message was left! Definitely a scam, wouldn’t recommend answering.

Someone called me saying they were from Scottish Power and told me I'd get a grant payment of about £6000 from something back in 2016. They said it was authorised by the FCA. They never straight up asked for my bank details, but I stupidly told them which bank I use and how long I’d been with them. They called again later asking for more details about my address, but I said no after I looked up the number and saw it seemed dodgy.

I kept getting calls non stop, like as soon as I hung up at 1:23pm, they were calling right back, then again at 1:24, and on up to 1:27. This person kept saying I was hacked and wondered why I wouldn’t talk. The same lady’s voice was coming from 01204 806940 around 1:25 and 1:26 as well.

This number has been ringing me non stop. The guy said it’s about some PPI payout I’m supposed to get, something like over £6000. But then he wanted me to cough up £85 for the courier to send it to me safely. I dragged the call out for quite a while, hoping he’d waste time and not call anyone else. It was tricky talking to him cause of his accent and bad English. Told him he should get a proper honest job and honestly hope he gets some peace at night. Avoid this number at all costs!

The caller said his name was Roy and kept insisting on talking about our computer. My husband quickly said he wasn’t interested and hung up. But he kept calling back, so I finally picked up and he wanted to talk to Mr Nicholass. I told him he wasn’t here but didn’t explain why. Then he started accusing me of not telling the truth and said I was being rude. We’ve now unplugged the phone to stop the calls for now, but this can’t go on forever. Honestly, who do they think they are? Such cheek!

I got a call from this number, some woman with an accent I couldn't place. She said there was a big problem with my computer and that she was from Microsoft. I told her I’d double check with Microsoft on my own, but she called me back not once but three times, even after I said I wanted to end the call. She insisted she had to fix it immediately, said it was against the law not to, and that it was her responsibility. Bit dodgy if you ask me!
