They attempted to pilfer my banking information by luring me in with promises of lower electricity costs. Definitely not trustworthy!

Just got a call from some scammer using Peerless Network, but this time it was coming from Edinburgh. Honestly, check out how many people this number has been trying to trick!

The person on the line wasn't able to speak English at all.

Heavily-accented woman's voice wanted me to do a housing survey. I don't mind doing genuine surveys but suspect this was just a data-gathering exercise to sell my details - I declined.

Kept calling even after I told them I wasn’t interested and to take my number off their list. Got quite pushy and rude when I didn’t fall for whatever scam he was pitching. I keep blocking the number but then they ring from a nearly identical one which slips through, really frustrating. So yeah, I’ve blocked this one now too.

Just got a call a little while ago from a bloke asking for my dad. I told him sadly my dad had died, and when I asked who it was, this Asian guy started saying he was a ghost and made some spooky "whooo" noise before hanging up. That was proper disrespectful. I'm really annoyed about it.

Got a call from some bloke named Brooklyn saying he wanted to sort out an update for my washing machine’s warranty. I asked him a couple of times what company he worked for but couldn’t really catch what he said. When I told him I didn’t have any warranty with them and asked why he was ringing me, he just went silent and then ended the call. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

Picked up the phone and some bloke said he was calling from the drainage department! Bit fishy if you ask me!

This number kept ringing me, trying to pitch some discount deal on my electricity bill or something. I just ended the call straight away.

Watch out, these people are total con artists. I've been getting calls from them for more than two decades! Absolute scammers from that country.

Just like the previous comment mentioned, I got a call saying I’d won a discount on my electricity bill. They went on with a lengthy intro, repeating my name and address, and then asked me how my name was spelled on my direct debit. Up until that point, all I’d done was confirm my name. I decided to cut the call short after that question, as I’m pretty certain it would have led to a bunch more queries if I’d fallen for it.

This number rang me earlier today and my phone instantly marked it as spam, so I didn’t pick up on any unknown calls. They didn’t leave a voicemail, so probably not urgent. About a fortnight ago, I joined cashback.co.uk and since then, I’ve been getting loads of calls and emails. Right now, I’m just trying to opt out of all the stuff they keep sending, hoping that’ll put an end to these annoying calls.

They rung me up a couple of times earlier today but I didn’t pick up, and no voicemail was left.

Got a call from someone with an English name but sounded Asian, claiming I’d been picked to get £200 off my electric bill. I told him I wasn’t interested and then he just ended the call.

So I answered and it was this Indian call centre, right? As soon as I told them the person they wanted wasn’t who I was, they just hung up on me. Proper rude! I’ve blocked the number now.

They rang but didn’t leave any voicemail or message. Missed it completely.

Watch out, it's one of those call centres from India trying to pull the old manhole cover trick on you. Total scam alert.

They rang me twice today but I didn’t answer either time, and there was no voicemail left.

Looks like a scam to me, cause that number hasn’t been active for ages and my call blocker kept putting it through anyway.

I've never shared my phone number with anyone, so if someone rings me, it's probably a scam. I always ignore calls from unknown numbers, this one included. Better safe than sorry!
