Next time they ring you, ask them politely where they got your details from under GDPR, and if they have permission to keep them. Then let them know you’ll be reporting them to the regulator which can slap on big fines for GDPR violations. That should stop these p***** in their tracks pretty fast.

Got a call saying I was involved in an accident where I wasn’t at fault. I told the guy I’m on the TPS and asked where he got my number. He said whenever I report an accident to my insurance, they pass it on to them. Thing is, I don’t even have a car or a licence. Told him that and he said sorry before ending the call. Being on the TPS should stop these calls. So irritating.
