This number has rung me loads over the past few days. It keeps buzzing a few times then cutting out. Seems like some automatic dialler that's programmed to drop the call once someone picks up. Last year I got calls from a similar number about a “road accident from the last three years where I wasn’t at fault.” When I asked for specifics like when it happened, where, and the car I was driving, the person just ended the call. Looks like some company fishing for accident info so they can pitch claim services. Annoying more than anything but doesn't seem dangerous.

some woman called, saying some third party insurance had sorted out compensation for me. i asked her which company it was, but she said she didn’t have that info. i told her to just claim the money and donate it to cancer research uk, then she just ended the call on me.
