Quite pushy, I must say. They reached out regarding my car accident and claimed to be from Legal Assist Ltd, purportedly based in Bolton. However, my phone displayed an Edinburgh number. The initial caller had an Asian accent, and curiously enough, so did this "manager" who came on later. They both seemed to be reading from the same script about claiming compensation from the other driver involved in the incident. I had already been involved in a not-at-fault accident earlier this year, so I entertained the conversation for a bit, but something felt off about the whole exchange. Since my insurance matter had been settled and everything was in order, I decided to end the call.

Received a call purporting to be from Nationwide Building Society, claiming there were two significant transactions on my account today. They proceeded to run through a series of security questions, which seemed quite legitimate at first. However, I started to feel uneasy and asked if I could ring them back using the official Nationwide number. They insisted that my only choices were to either provide the information they requested or face having my account frozen, necessitating a trip to a branch to resolve the issue. I promptly hung up and contacted the fraud department at Nationwide directly!
