Really pushy about some car crash claim. They claimed to be from Legal Assist Ltd, supposedly in Bolton, but the number on my phone showed it was from Edinburgh. The man I first talked to spoke with an Asian accent, and then his “manager” called me, same accent and same spiel about cash from the other driver. I’d actually been involved in a no-fault accident a few months back, so I did pay attention for a bit, but it just felt off. My insurance had already been sorted out ages ago, so I just ended the call.

Someone rang me claiming to be from Nationwide BS, saying there were two big withdrawals on my account today and wanted to confirm if I did them. They asked for loads of security info, sounded pretty convincing at first. But then I got a bit wary and asked if I could phone them back on the official Nationwide number instead. They said no, either I gave them the details now or they’d block my account and I’d have to visit a branch to sort it. Didn't feel right, so I hung up and went straight to Nationwide’s fraud team to report it!
