Got a call from someone claiming they were from O2. I told her to wait a sec while I turned the radio down... but actually, I just turned it up and left the phone next to the speaker. Could still hear her babbling away, probs still trying to get a word in!

This is the third time I’ve had a call claiming to be from O2; the first two came from a London area code, but now they're calling from Scotland. I told them I wasn’t interested. These calls are really annoying, and I keep blocking the numbers as they come.

At around 10.49 this morning, 6th March '23, I got a call on my mobile from a number that appeared to be from Edinburgh. I never answer calls from numbers I don’t recognise, so I just let it ring out. The call only lasted a few seconds and they didn’t leave any voicemail. Seems a bit suspicious to me, so I wouldn't trust it.

This caller said they were from Curry's PC World. Honestly, I'm convinced the deal he presented was a total sham, likely a scam of some sort.

I received a call purporting to be from EE, attempting to peddle a new contract. They were terribly pushy about obtaining my postcode and complete address, stating it was necessary to check my eligibility. It was clearly a scam; they failed to identify me, even though they insisted I was a valued customer. When I challenged their legitimacy, they abruptly cut the call. Quite the experience, I must say!

Got called twice today claiming to be from Currys PC World. I’m over here in the Tyneside region and got the calls on my mobile. They were pushing phone upgrades really strongly. The second time they rang, the caller ID was blocked and showed as a private number, probably through some internet phone setup. The people on the line had accents from an Asian call centre, but their English was spot on. Just a heads up, be careful with these calls.

Got a call claiming to be from EE, but I've never signed up with them. They didn’t even know my name, which immediately raised my suspicions - classic scam tactics, if you ask me. They wanted to know which network I was using, but I firmly replied, “You really don’t need that information.” There was a bit of back-and-forth, but in the end, they just hung up on me. Best advice? Don’t divulge any personal info. Block the number and steer clear!

I've taken to ignoring calls these days, thanks to the endless stream of scammers and dodgy characters. I usually check who’s tried to reach me right after, and only bother to ring back if it turns out to be someone genuine with a clean record. It's quite alarming that we've reached this point. In these rather troubling times, I suppose we can take some comfort in the notion that those nefarious types will ultimately get their comeuppance.

I received a rather unexpected call earlier, claiming that I had access to substantial discounts that were only available for a limited time. To my astonishment, the caller was from Scotland, and I couldn’t recall knowing a single soul from that neck of the woods. I nearly ended the conversation, but the caller was quite persistent, chattering away endlessly. It felt awfully dodgy, if you ask me. Complete scam!

I received a call purporting to be from O2, telling me I could snag a 40% discount on my account. They were incredibly pushy and attempted to speak over me, but thankfully, I have a rather strong voice! I've since had a multitude of calls from different numbers, and after looking them up, it turns out they’re all confirmed scams. Beware!
