Got a call from 01313586962 on 22/11/23 around 10.43, just another annoying scammer trying to pinch some cash. Didn’t even bother chatting, blocked straight away.

Yet another fraudulent caller! This time, they were claiming to represent O2. They tried to lure me in with an offer of a 40% discount on my existing plan, but the amusing part is, I don’t even have an account with O2!

Beware this number 0131 358 - it’s not a genuine UK line. It’s actually a VOIP service run from abroad pretending to be local. After the NHS data leak in July 2023, which exposed mobile numbers used for booking GP visits and blood tests online, this criminal gang started going after those contacts. As someone working in cyber security, I can tell you this is a serious organised crime outfit targeting people using NHS services in the UK.

Someone called from 02 and when I mentioned that a colleague had contacted me the day before, they quickly agreed to stop. Definitely another scam.

Today I got two calls from different numbers both linked to IP Voice Networks Ltd. The first was a Northern Ireland number pretending to be from EE. The second call also claimed to be EE, trying to sell me a 40% discount on my bill. When I said I’m not with EE, the caller asked if I was an O2 user instead. I then told them my number is on the TPS list and asked nicely to be taken off their contacts. After that, I hung up and blocked the number straight away.

Had a couple of missed calls from this number, one just today and another from last week. Didn't pick up either time.
