Got a call from someone speaking terrible English claiming to be from Vodafone. I'm actually a Vodafone user but they didn't know my name. They said they were doing some promo and wanted to give me a free phone, but oddly needed my bank info and name first. The number showed as Edinburgh, and since I'm local, I asked which part of Edinburgh they were calling from. They couldn’t answer and then suddenly said they were located in West London. I just ended the call there.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from a home improvement firm about sorting out damp and mould issues. But the phone number was an Edinburgh area code, and I’m down in SW England. Seems a bit dodgy to me, like they’re not the real deal. Surely they’d be losing money travelling that far just to deal with damp proofing?

I got a call and my phone flagged it as a 'telemarketer reported'. I answered but held back from talking right away, like they often do, and before I could say anything, they just hung up. Seems like they do the same trick we use when we don’t pick up right away to their recorded messages. Marked it as spam for sure!

I received a missed call around midday during the festive season, and upon noticing it, I attempted to return the call around five times. Unfortunately, each time they cut it off, which leaves me wondering if it's some sort of scam. I'd suggest that if you do pick up, perhaps start recording your screen for safety. I'm in Perth and Kinross and as soon as I got that call, I checked it out on who-called me. Turns out the best move is just to block and ignore them.

I didn’t pick up coz something felt dodgy about the number. After checking out what others said on here and some other sites, it looks like it’s just a call centre pretending to be with EE or O2. The people calling have terrible English too. Best to just give it a miss.

Got a call from someone pretending to be O2, saying I had to do a SIM swap. I just ignored the call and it stopped after a while. At the same time, I got texts that said they were from O2 with some activation code, but I'm pretty sure they were fake too.

It was a dodgy call, they acted like they were from EE and kept asking loads of questions, even wanted my card details. Definitely a scam.
