The number showed up with my local area code, so I picked up. A lady with an Indian accent claimed to be from BT Openreach, saying our broadband needed some urgent maintenance. I told her we’re not actually with BT Openreach, but she insisted the work was still necessary and that they’d take care of it for our provider. I then explained our broadband was installed just last August and everything was working fine, plus I’d organise any fixes if it was needed. After that, she just ended the call.
