This number, which is local to me, rang up and the caller, sounding like he was from an ethnic background, said he worked for Amazon. Since I recently purchased a phone from them, I got suspicious and checked my computer for a verification code they supposedly sent. When I told him he was trying to scam me, he just ended the call.
