The bloke on the message sounded pretty legit, telling me not to give him any personal details and mentioned I'd be getting a call from the bank’s fraud team within the hour. Not long after, my phone rang from abroad, but I didn’t pick up. Meanwhile, I rang my bank myself and they assured me there hadn’t been any dealings on my account.

Got a call from a unfamiliar number, and it was one of those recorded messages pretending to be from Mastercard and Visa. They just kept saying I either owed money or there was some problem with my account. No one ever gave a name or any real details, so it was clear to me it was a scam trying to catch people off guard. Didn’t even bother answering, just blocked the number straight away.
