Nice enough foreign guy who couldn't say the name right of the person he was trying to get through to, no clue who I was really, just wasted my time. These cold callers are so annoying and a serious pain if they manage to get past, and even worse if you don't pick up.

Finally, this number should be removed. Make sure you report it along with the scam info to the police fraud reporting site. Just search 'action fraud' and visit the UK police website. Head over to the phishing section and scroll down to the end to fill out the quick report. We need to stop these scammers by notifying the right people.

01312859924 rang me and a woman seemed to know my name but I couldn’t make out what she was saying properly. She wanted the expiry date on my Barclaycard but clearly had the wrong number. She mentioned something about blocking calls. I didn’t share any info and just ended the call.

They say they’re an O2 reseller, telling you your contract has ended and trying to sell you renewal deals at a discount. I’ve had loads of these calls and reported them to O2. Even though O2 assured me they’d take my info off the lists they share with resellers, the calls keep coming. I don’t think it’s a scam since O2 is aware of it, but it’s really annoying because the calls come so often from different numbers. I usually do a reverse phone lookup to check the number and then block it.

Looking at the comments on this site, it’s clear that a lot of these numbers are used for different scams. I got a call from a woman with an Indian accent who used my name and claimed she was from Call Guardian. The moment I told her I wasn’t interested in signing up for anything over the phone, she hung up straight away. Totally just scammers trying to get banking info from folks.

I've received a message in an American accent purporting to be from Infinity Call Blocker UK. The numbers mentioned were 02080 289928 and 02080 280247, but on the website, I found a different contact number: 03308 80359. Strangely, there’s no trace of any registered company under that name at Companies House, and the website itself doesn’t list a legitimate trading name. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!
