5 hoursThe phone stayed silent, clearly uninterested in being part of my day. Just seeing the number was enough for me to come to a conclusion usually saved for more serious occasions: “POSSIBLE SCAM.” This Edinburgh line wasn’t familiar one bit, and though a quick look offered no clues, that lack of info felt oddly comforting - like having a headstone without flowers, which somehow felt legit. After having a good think about it, without dragging things out or making a fuss, I made up my mind: blocked it straight away, ignored any call, and decided it was a lost cause right from the start.Edinburgh1 dayI got a call the other day, someone asking survey questions about my home. From what I've dealt with before, these usually end up as spam calls, so I just said no and blocked the number straight away.3 daysThey keep ringing me up about setting up a server for “lower living costs” even though I told them I’m not interested and to stop phoning me. They said they’d call again later, but they somehow have my name - don’t know how that happened. I told them not to call back, but they insisted it’s just a quick survey and promised to ring again. I told them firmly to stop and scrap my number. Then the woman said they’d remove my info from their system and hung up. They’ve been calling me loads over the last fortnight and I’ve had enough now.3 daysI ignored the call, felt like it could be a scam.Submit Your Own Report (0131 285 5511)
