Got a call from someone with an accent asking for me by name. Said they were with Verso Group doing a survey, asked where they got my number from and claimed I’d signed up for some contest. I wasn’t very polite and told them to buzz off, then guess what - they called me on another phone number! Proper annoying.

I picked up the phone coz the number was local here in Edinburgh. The woman on the other end had a thick accent and said she was from something like 'Birsto Group' or maybe 'Bristo Group'. When I told her I’d never heard of them, she just ended the call straight away.
