Earlier today, my phone rang with a call from a woman sporting a distinct Scottish brogue. She introduced herself as Leanne and enquired after a certain Mrs XXXX. When I probed about the purpose of her call, she mentioned she represented 'Ready for Retirement'. I clarified that I wasn't a Mrs and that I've got a good 15 years ahead before I even think about retirement. She then boldly asked my age and what financial plans I had set up for later down the line.
