10 yearsI received a call from this number claiming they were investigating Payment Protection Insurance linked to my credit card or loan, and needed to ask me some questions. I made it quite clear that I wasn’t comfortable discussing any of my banking matters over the phone. The caller insisted that all she wanted to know was whether I had a credit card and which bank it was with. I pointed out that if this was indeed my bank reaching out to me, she would already have my details at hand, and reiterated that I’d rather not divulge any information. She then offered to send me a text with the company's website for me to verify their legitimacy, and mentioned she would ring me back shortly. When I attempted to return the call, I was met with an automated message simply saying “goodbye” before the line went dead.
