I got a call from someone claiming to be from AXA Research. She said they’d got info saying that someone had phoned Severn Trent using my number. I couldn’t really recall making any calls like that, so I just told her so. Then she ended the call really quickly without saying much else. It all felt a bit strange to me.

Someone called claiming to be from Ovo and mentioned I'd just had a smart meter installed. When they rang, I got a warning that the number might be spam. I answered a few questions about the meter installation but didn’t share any personal details. They sounded legit but I stayed careful just in case. Got a call from someone saying they’re doing a quick 8-minute survey for SE Water (they’re based in the SE). Told them no thanks, but not sure if SE Water shared my mobile and home numbers with them. Could be just marketing, or maybe a scam - either way, not interested at all.

Then in the evening the same number rang again, but a different person, saying they needed to do the follow-up part of the survey, but now it was for South East Water. if it aint a call from scotland its usually from nottingham, these lot are a bloody pain every single day about 6 in the evening, always the same rubbish calls and chat... some folks here reckon it aint a scam but theyre wrong, you know it too. just by answering a few questions these muppets get hold of your private info, and sure enough, they share it so you get pestered by loads more pointless calls later on. im normally pretty chilled but this really winds me up. im labelling this number/company as dodgy cos thats exactly what they are.

if it aint a call from scotland then it's probably those annoying lot from nottingham, they're such a pain.....every single day around 6pm its the same calls with the same rubbish chat....some people say it’s not a scam but thats rubbish and you know it. just by answering a couple of questions they can get hold of your info, and before you know it they’re passing your details around and you’ll just get more pointless calls from other time wasting muppets. i'm normally pretty chilled but this really winds me up...marking them as dangerous cos well, they are.
