Got a call about some car crash, they kept insisting I was involved. When I denied it, they said maybe someone at my place gave my name 😅 I told them I’ve got newborn twins, they’re not even up to causing that kinda trouble yet!

I get calls from these scammers pretty often, usually a few times every month. The number usually begins with 013120487, but they switch up the final two numbers every time to dodge my block. It's really frustrating, so I just ignore all their calls since they never leave a voicemail anyway. I've blocked them so many times that my phone now flags the number as possible fraud right on the caller ID!

At first, it was a young woman who told me I’d been in a car crash - which was news to me since I wasn’t. I just let her run through her whole spiel quietly while I continued with my tasks (after all, it was their time wasted). She cheerfully told me I was about to get a big payout for this imaginary accident. Then she put me “on hold.” After about 5 seconds, I ended the call. Not long after, she rang back, saying the call had dropped, and stuck me on hold again. Next, some bloke with a cheeky voice got on the line and started droning about my “claim.” Eventually, he said he needed a statement from me to move things along. So I replied, “Here’s the honest truth: I’ve been told I had a car accident, but since I can’t remember any of it, I guess it must have been a bad one.” He promptly hung up mid-swear! Absolutely brilliant! :D
