Got a call from this number yesterday, some people saying they was from smarter life insurance. They knew my name which made me suspicious straight away so I just ended the call and blocked it. Then today at 8am, a different number rang me and said the same thing. These lot are pure harassment, really stressful. I’ve got a son with learning difficulties and don’t need these nuisance calls making things worse! Is there any way to make them stop doing this???

Really strange how the calls were coming nonstop in May, but now they’ve pretty much stopped for everyone. Someone called me asking, "Is Freya there?" and I told them they’d got the wrong number. Then they said, "No, this might actually be helpful for you!" Feels like they use fake names to get you to answer and then you’re caught up in something. I just hung up. Could be risky, but honestly, I have no clue who they were.

When I finally did, I fed them a fake birthday and told them I was just humouring them by hearing them out - “I totally get where you’re coming from” (which I didn’t). After about 20 minutes, they caught on and said goodbye. At least they didn’t waste someone else’s time for that long!
