Just echoing what someone else mentioned earlier. I received a dodgy text from 01312022653, claiming to be from First Direct, urging me to ring them regarding a debit card purchase of £299.99 at WAITROSE. The message even had a one-time passcode for the deal. Clearly, this is a phishing attempt!

Got a text from this number claiming to be First Direct, saying there was an issue with a debit card transaction and asking me to ring them. I called back but it seemed dodgy, like they were fishing for my account details. I later rang First Direct directly and they confirmed it wasn’t from them at all. Definitely a scam!
