i got a call from someone claiming they were from my internet provider and said my connection would be cut off. they told me there was some dodgy stuff going on with my ip address. ive had these sorts of calls loads of times before so i knew right away it was just a scam.

When I picked up, I was greeted by an automated message that claimed to be from my provider. They mentioned that three individuals had access to my IP address. I was instructed to press one and then wait in line to chat with an agent, but I chose to hang up instead.
