The person on the other end spoke with a really thick accent, not English, and I could barely make out what they were saying. They wanted to know if I was {my actual name] and then started talking about helping me put all my unsecured debts together.

I got a call from someone claiming to work for a debt management firm saying I owed money on a credit card and overdraft, which is totally untrue. They even knew where I live! They said they'd post me a letter with all the details about these so-called debts - I’ll wait and see if anything actually turns up before taking it further with the company they mentioned.

Got a call from a woman speaking with a foreign accent claiming she worked for some debt relief agency. She kept asking what debts I owed. I told her that’s private and ended the call pretty quick after that. Just blocked the number now.

They started by saying my name, so I asked them who they were. They went on with “debt relief” and asked if I was having trouble paying off debts. I told them it was none of their concern and that I hadn’t asked them to ring me. Told them to buzz off and they just dropped the call. Definitely feels like a scam to me.

I keep getting these calls every day from someone asking me to verify info for the telephone preference service. Feels dodgy because tps wouldn't ring up like that. Seems like they're trying to trick you into paying for some other service. Bit of a joke if you ask me.
