I saw the number pop up and thought it was my lad ringing from Scotland, so I rang back. Got a bloke with a South Asian accent saying they’re from some company chasing unpaid debts, claiming I owe money and that court action is coming if I don’t pay. Problem is, 1) I’ve got a credit card all paid via direct debit, 2) I own my home outright, and 3) all my online shopping is paid for right away. Told the guy he was a daft scammer and to get lost. Ended up slamming the phone down while he was shouting at me.
