Had a bloke on the phone with an Indian accent who said his name was Kevin Williams. He was telling me my router was being accessed by loads of people from different countries! I pretended to be interested just to keep him chatting and then told him to jog on before hanging up. Said he was from BT Openreach or something. Honestly, these calls are driving me mad.

Somebody rang saying they were from Openreach by BT, asking if I knew someone else was on my internet, and said they could sort it out. I pretended to go along with it, mentioned I'd switch on my son's PC, maybe a bit too much because they just hung up. Bit frustrating really, I'd have liked to see what their angle was - especially since I’m not even with BT!

Had a laugh with a couple of these calls today. First one, I acted like I couldn’t hear a thing properly, kept asking them to repeat and totally getting it wrong until they gave up and hung up. Then on the second, when they asked "How are you doing today?" I launched into a made-up list of all sorts of silly ailments I supposedly had. Didn’t let them get a word in edgeways! Ended it by saying thanks for checking on my health but I had to dash off to see the nurse about my piles appointment. Honestly, give it a go - it’s a proper laugh!

Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent claiming she was a BT engineer. When I asked what BT needed, she just ended the call. We’re not even BT customers. They've rung a few times pretending to be BT or Openreach. My partner told them to stop calling, but they keep at it. Pretty sure it’s a scam trying to get personal details - watch out!

When I tried ringing back to see what it was really about, the number was dead! Seriously, this has gotta end. Think about the elderly and disabled folk who might get caught out by these annoying calls!

This number rang me claiming to be from BT Openreach, saying there was an issue with my router. I told them straight away it was a scam because I actually use Virgin Media. I then ended the call. About an hour later, they phoned back, this time pretending to be Virgin Media and said there was a problem with my router again! After I hung up, they rang me another three times. Definitely a scam, and not a very clever one!

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT Openreach. She asked if I knew that seven other users were sharing my broadband connection. Since I know that’s just how ADSL works, I asked her for some more details, but she just ended the call. Really irritating and felt quite unprofessional. BT ought to look into this.

Got two calls from this number today. The first one was some dodgy IT talk, so I just told the guy he was wasting his breath. Next thing, he starts calling me a ###### bast####! I laughed it off and asked why he was being so rude just to ring me. Then I hung up and blocked the number (thankfully you can do that with local calls). Half an hour later, he tried again but it was already blocked. TPS does nothing for these kinds of calls, what’s the point even? Loads of people are complaining here, maybe we should all finally report them to the police if it’ll do anything.
