Got a call from an unknown number, but no voicemail was left. The area code looked like it was from Dorking, which is nowhere near anyone I know. Could be a scammer, though they didn’t attempt to sell anything, so I’m not completely sure.

I reckon these calls could be dodgy since the person on the other end seems to use some kind of autodialling program that scammers love. To me, it feels like they're just checking if your phone is active. I guess they gather these active numbers and then pass them on to various scammers or people trying to phish info or something like that.
