Got a call from a man with an Asian accent today, sounded like he was in a noisy call centre with people chatting behind him. He said my mobile sim would be disabled tomorrow because of reception issues and that they'd send me a replacement. Then he asked for my info, like where and when to deliver it. I asked what company he was with, and he said EE. Problem is, I don’t use EE at all! Totally caught him out. Didn’t give him any info, just ended the call, blocked the number and posted about it here.

Got a call from some random number, didn’t even say who it was. I just ended the call straight away. Blocked the number after that.

This number rang me but I didn’t answer. Weird thing is, a number almost identical to it, just one digit different at the end, kept calling me like 3 or 4 times within a couple of minutes. Quite annoying!

I'm really glad I've got that BT nuisance call blocker on my phone, because otherwise the phone would have kept ringing since the caller never said who they were. So without any second thoughts, I’ve gone ahead and blocked that number straight away.

Today, I missed a call from a number I didn't know and didn't pick up since I usually avoid unknown numbers. I'm pretty sure it was some sales pitch or spam trying to get through. They didn’t bother leaving a voicemail either. I checked this site and saw others have mentioned a number ending in 722 linked to dodgy car finance deals. I'm on the TPS list and my number's ex-directory, but obviously, these lot don’t seem to care about those rules.
