I usually say something along the lines of, "Yeah, I got into a crash that wasn’t my doing. There was this nasty bend I didn’t turn properly, so bad it nearly took my head right off." Then I go on about wanting to claim for injury compensation to get surgery that can fix me up, preferably attaching my noggin to a brand new, fit body since the one I’ve got is starting to go downhill. Unsurprisingly, they just end up hanging up pretty quickly.

So I got a call saying I could get some kind of payout for an accident I had, which is odd since I've never actually been in any car crash.

They call nonstop, like some dodgy personal injury outfit. Kept asking if I’d been in a crash. Told them over and over to stop ringing. Ended up blocking the number.
